Between 2024 and 2025, I have been working with the cooperative Cooperase, managing communication and social media for the OTC – Oficina Social de Comunidades Energéticas in Granada, a project funded by the IDAE- Instituto para la Diversificación y Ahorro de la Energía. My role involves designing and sharing content to foster citizen participation and the development of local energy communities, grounded in the principles of sustainable energy transition, resilience, and social economy.
I also collaborate on various cooperative-led initiatives, including the Río Monachil Energy Community, which promotes the collective production and management of energy. Our model champions energy sovereignty, citizen engagement, and exclusion of large corporations from the decision-making processes that affect our energy systems.
The community energy model we advocate for goes beyond electricity production, expanding into areas such as sustainable mobility and waste management. Each project is tailored to the specific needs of the territory and its inhabitants through a participatory and solidarity-driven approach.
Through strategic communication and active social media management, I aim to bring these projects closer to the public, encouraging meaningful participation and contributing to the creation of a fairer, more sustainable future for all.
