In Svanetia, Georgia, the Nenskra hydroelectric project threatens to displace indigenous communities and irreversibly damage fragile local ecosystems.
On behalf of the NGO CEE Bankwatch, I organized an eco-tourism festival with the local population for the enhancement of the villages affected by the project. For the communication of the event, I produced press releases, videos and a social media campaign.
Part of the festival was also the creation of a photography workshop with children between 9 and 13 years of age to portray the problems of hydroelectric dams in the region.
